Remember… I’m not a blogger, a marketer, or a web guy. I am a hotel ops guy, and I’m just trying to produce content at my leisure, as best I can. So with that out of the way, there’s 2 things I am worried and confused about, and I hate being alone on an island, or in a silo, with no one to kick ideas off of. A very talented architect sent this article to a group of us, and it just zeroed in on my passions in hospitality… a conscious design that makes hospitality more about wellness and healing. Biophilic design is about understanding our deep and profoundly ancient, and important, connection with nature. We engineered it out of our lives, in so many ways, throughout the last 200 years, and especially in the 20th Century.

I am tired of influencers, and I am tired of technological vulnerabilities. Neither will go away. =) This goes way beyond needing cyber-insurance, I think. The modern vulnerabilities of cloud PMS is something I’ve opined on…. I am not sure exposing yourself to that downtime, remote random updates, or being inaccessible, not to mention the issues with lending guest data and info to 3rd parties.

As a tech company, I bet you want an anecdotal opinion on how you can get a response to a sales email, vs it getting spammed or trashed.

I was just talking to my favorite hotel technology company. I’ve worked with them for almost a decade, and I appreciate them. They aren’t snake oil, they don’t assume they know the business better than hotel people, and they are changing the game. I won’t name them, but feel free to ask. They’re basically indispensable, so you can probably figure it out.
