Honeywell To Make Connected Guest Presentation At HITEC In New Orleans

Honeywell announced that it will deliver a Tech Showcase presentation titled "Connected Home; Connected Guest" at HITEC 2016 in New Orleans. The showcase will be held in the Rivergate room in the Ernest N Morial Convention Center on Wednesday June 22^nd from 2:30-3:30 pm. Tom Woodruff, general manager at Honeywell will discuss what they have learned about the connected home owner and how hoteliers might leverage Honeywell's proven experience in the Connected Home market for in-room Connected Guest convenience.

Today's travellers are tech savvy with fully connected lives at home and at work. The Connected Home consumer will soon expect to be a Connected Guest.

"Travelers have a specific expectation of comfort, convenience and control of their hotel stay," Woodruff said. "At HITEC Honeywell will outline what operators can start to do today to help meet these not too distant future expectations and how technologies will help fulfil future guest demands. The Connected Guest transition will take time. Honeywell will describe the building blocks operators must put in place today to provide tomorrow's guests with a fully-connected experience."

Honeywell's Connected Home platform gives residents peace of mind with mobile control while home or away for needs surrounding comfort, energy savings, loss prevention and security. Honeywell's team will discuss taking the connected home consumer's collection of preferences and how they may be extended to the connected traveler and ultimately better meet guest expectations for convenient control of their entire guestroom experience.
