The partnership will make it easy for guests to have instant access to the services of a hotel over their preferred medium - whether they are seeking a recommendation from the concierge, ordering food & beverage, arranging the delivery of an item they forgot at home, or requesting information about the hotel.

The Guest Experience Platform (GXP), provided by iRiS, enables apps on a mobile device or an in-room tablet to provide service requests, food & beverage ordering, and guest communication. Now, through the partnership with Volara being announced today, hotels will also be able to engage with their guests by voice over Amazon Alexa - with additional platforms like Google Assistant, IBM Watson, Apple Siri and Alibaba Genie being added soon.

Guests can engage with hotel services through multiple channels, whether they're asking the hotel to recommend someplace for pizza or ordering a bottle of champagne from the in-room dining menu. Through the GXP platform, guest interactions like these will be integrated with other technologies running at the hotel to ensure seamless and efficient guest service.
