LONDON - Pegasus & Travel Tripper, a leading hotel technology provider, set a new company record in September by converting 52% of its partner hotels' new corporate RFP targets for the 2020 season. Each year, hotels compete to secure new RFP invitations from global corporations, which could result in lucrative corporate business from these firms for the coming year.

Pegasus & Travel Tripper's Global Sales team, which represents corporate and consortia strategic account management, supports more than 700 hotels across 300 locations by procuring and helping manage RFP invitations. The team evaluated almost 4,000 corporate targeting requests for the 2020 season and supports its hotel portfolio in garnering corporate business. The company provides consultations throughout the RFP season to ensure bid submissions sent to clients represent a strong value proposition, and match the corporate partners' requirements.

The Global Sales team already set a record conversion rate of 44% for the 2019 season, which concluded last year. Comparable industry services yield an average conversion rate of 14%. This number was surpassed once again this year, with 52% of corporate targets already converted, with potentially more conversions in Q4. The corporate sales services, together with the team's TMC and consortia sales services, helps partner hotels generate more than $300 million in bookings from these channels each year.

The Okinawa Grand Mer Resort in Japan recently tapped the Global Sales team to increase the property's business across international distribution systems. By following the team's advice regarding key consortia programs, the hotel was able to quickly make informed decisions to opt into specific government travel and high-end leisure RFP program invitations. These decisions were informed by Pegasus & Travel Tripper's powerful Distribution Analytics platform regarding the volume of reservations and revenue these programs drove within Okinawa, and the Okinawa Grand Mer Resort is now positioned competitively and will benefit in valuable new GDS business come 2020.
